Expert Speaker Series kicks off with a virtual discussion led by:

• David Harris, Emeritus Managing Director of the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice

• Johanna Wald, former Director of Strategic Planning for the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice.

This talk will identify some of the research underlying what is commonly referred to as "implicit bias" and explore how unconscious automatic associations may influence our actions, experiences, beliefs, and decisions.
